Dear El Centro Supporter,
As we come to the closing of the year and gather to celebrate the holiday season, we at El Centro would like to thank our wonderful community for the incredible support we've received throughout this year. Your kindness and generosity make a meaningful impact on numerous lives, demonstrating the strength of our collective compassion.
I'd like to share a heartfelt story that embodies the resilience and hope that defines our community. Meet Maria, a single mother of two, who, despite facing a challenging car accident in December of 2022, is an example of determination and strength.
Maria has been navigating a difficult journey—21 days in the hospital, pelvic and hip surgeries, and three months in a wheelchair. Her dedication to recovering and being present for her children has led her to physical therapy, where she was able to progress from using a wheelchair to walking with a walker, a significant milestone on her path to recovery. In fact, despite still regularly attending physical therapy and facing discomfort from her surgeries, Maria is returning to work this month of December.
However, Maria continues to face financial challenges, with two months of rent owed, amounting to $900. As we approach the end of the year, El Centro asks that we rally together and make supporting Maria and her 2 children our end-of-the-year goal. Your generosity can make a profound difference in their life and contribute to the sense of community that defines both El Centro and Lincoln as a whole.
**How You Can Make a Difference:**

Please indicate that your contribution is for Maria and her family.
We are incredibly grateful for the support El Centro has received this year, and now, more than ever, we have the opportunity to share that support with Maria and her family.
Together, let's make this holiday season a time of joy, hope, and community and help us end the year on a compassionate note, making a lasting impact on Maria's journey to recovery.
Wishing you all a season filled with warmth, gratitude, and joy.
Sincerely,
roméo
