Our health programs cover a wide variety of health areas.
El Centro offers health-based education and assistance through things such as navigating the health system, nutritional education, promotion of physical activity, maternal health support, and vaccination and immunization education and promotion.
Nuestros programas de salud cubren una amplia variedad de áreas de salud.
El Centro ofrece educación y asistencia basada en la salud a través de aspectos como navegación en el sistema de salud, educación nutricional, promoción de la actividad física, apoyo a la salud materna, y educación y promoción sobre vacunación e inmunización.
WELLNESS PROGRAM | PROGRAMA DE BIENESTAR
The establishment of medical homes for clients who are low-income and who lack health insurance is a core emphasis of our Wellness program. Good nutrition and physical activity habits are also key parts of one’s overall health. To address this, we offer nutrition classes and consultations, fitness and wellness groups, as well as workshops which teach clients how to use and access city resources such as BikeLNK and the StarTran bus system.

El establecimiento de hogares médicos para clientes de bajos ingresos y que carecen de seguro médico es un énfasis central de nuestro programa de Bienestar. Los buenos hábitos de nutrición y actividad física también son partes clave de la salud general. Para abordar esto, ofrecemos clases y consultas de nutrición, grupos de acondicionamiento físico y bienestar, así como talleres que enseñan a los clientes cómo usar y acceder a los recursos de la ciudad, como BikeLNK y el sistema de autobuses StarTran.

WOMEN’S WELLNESS| BIENESTAR DE MUJERES
In collaboration with the Asian Community & Cultural Center, the Malone Center, and MilkWorks, El Centro’s breastfeeding and women’s wellness program works to promote and educate on the topic of breastfeeding and women’s health. Workshops and classes on topics such as parenting and child development as well as groups like “Lactancia Latina” meet regularly to offer support for parents and breastfeeding mothers.

En colaboración con el Asian Community & Cultural Center, el Malone Center y MilkWorks, el programa de lactancia materna y bienestar de mujeres de El Centro trabaja para promover y educar sobre el tema de la lactancia materna y la salud de mujeres. VACCINATION & IMMUNIZATION | VACUNACIÓN & INMUNIZACIÓN
Promotion and education regarding various illnesses and their vaccinations and immunizations is offered through the Vaccination & Immunization program. Assistance in registering for vaccination and booster appointments, including vaccinations required for school is offered.
